Emotiva xpa 1 monos

Any love here for xpa 1 monos? While I didn't hear a (big) difference between my Xpa 2 and my xpa 1 mono amps,I'm happy with the price to performance of these amps.I had a McIntosh mc 205 that I sold for upgrade money for better speakers. I replaced it with a Xpa 5 amp. While the McIntosh might have sounded a hair better in bass control it didn't sound 5 grand better! I think Emo xpa 1 's  are  good value!

Own a first gen pair, more reliable thatmlater models.
I have the limited edition models, they are GREAT for what they are.
  Affordable 1000W monos’
but the hiss and high gain does get anoooying at times.
i am currently using the sunfire instead.

I’ll keep them for my son, as I have the lifetime warranty on mine, as I purchased them from the St. Jude limited edition first 10 units sold many years back, they will make a killer first intro to real audio for my son.

With the warranty, and what they are, they are worth the keep for a long time use, and keepers. I have since moved into McCormack , and packed the Emotivas’ in their boxes as stand by’s (back ups)

or til my son is old enough to have his own system.

is there better:? Hell yes are. They r great for what they are?: hell Yes!

loud playing amps with gobs of power.
Yes, they are good, I just found better.

Great beginner audio, or keepers if that’s your budget.
Either way, for what u spend, it’s hard to find better for the money if you get reliable products.
their warranty is sketchy, be cautious of warranty work, as they will send you b-stock as a warranty, or used equip.
Either way, I’m happy with my purchase I made,
st Jude received a good payment on my behalf.

McCormack is golden.
Roger sanders is golden!
odyssey is golden.

Went to the emotiva forum, arrogant, rude, fight starter people. Not like here.

Still have my amps, boxed up, ready to give my little guy a yammy receiver, a pioneer TT, and some old mini realistic speakers for beginner. Have a box of old somewhat albums for him.

Then soon I will gift him the monoblocks, and a pre and spinner.

Hopeful he will love audio as I do
