It’s been nine years since I first took notice of a Georgia gal. At that time Dana King had posted two videos of Eva Cassidy’s arrangements of People Get Ready and Fields Of Gold. I wrote to Dana and told her how much I admired her phrasing and use of dynamics. It goes without saying that I’ll always prefer the originals by Eva. That said - so few people are able to sing Eva’s arrangements well. I was so pleased to find Dana.

This week musical lightning struck when Dana released three videos that rock. Take a listen. Right now she sings only at remote festivals. I hope that will change in time.
