Elrog 300B vs Takatsuki 300B tubes

I have both Elrog and Takatsuki 300Bs running on line magnetic 219ia. For speakers, I used LS50 and Harbeth 7es3. Devore O93 is on the way replacing 7es3.

I probably have about 100 hrs on Elrog and 30 Hrs on Takatsuki. So, it's probably too early to say. So far, I like Elrog better. Takatsuki sounded too polite compared to Elrog. Elrog gave better dynamic, top to bottom balance and much bigger soundstage. I will give more time to Takatsuki and compare again. I am trying but always end up switching back to Elrog. :)

One of my Elrog 300Bs failed more than a month ago and I had to ship my pair directly back to Germany after talking to Gary in Trueaudiophile. Elrog initially refused to replace my pair although I had several days left on my warranty. Gary has been following up with Elrog to change their decision. I have been waiting anxiously more than three weeks now. So, this is such a relief that Elrog finally stepped up to take care of their products and customers. I love my ER845s and that is why I bought ER300B. I even left very positive comments for ER300B in this post. Great that Elrog didn't betray their fan...

My experience with Trueaudiophile has been excellent. But, I am not sure if they still carry Elrog tubes. You better call them. If they do, I can recommend them.

Finally, got my replacement pair yesterday (Thanks, Matthias) and spending my Friday evening listening to them right now. I am not sure what has been changed in this replacement pair but I think they sound even better than the original version. I just hope they don't fail prematurely like previous version. Only the time will tell. These are amazing tubes and I think they worth of all that trouble I went through. Best wish for those who are still waiting for the replacement pair but I think you won't be disappointed.

Unfortunately, one of my ER300B started failing again.  This is a revised version that replaced my original pair last August.  It keeps cutting out and making noises. I can turn amp off and take tubes out for a while and then it works for a while and quits again. Sometimes it won't even start up so it is definitely bad.  I didn't use the tubes much at all after I received the replacement pair last August.  So, they have less than 100 hrs.

I have been trying to contact Matthias as he instructed in August but haven't received any reply so far.  I hope someone in Elrog can take care of my case.  (For the record, I copied email exchange from last year).

I think ER300Bs (with ER845) are the best sounding tubes out there.  I really hope that the company can back their products and take care of their customers.  
 
Let me know how I can proceed to get replacement tubes.
