Electrical sutf HELP. 20amp,15amp,IEC con., plug
I'm trying to get a nice power conditioner that I can use for now with my current regular wall outlets, and later after I install 20 Amp dedicated circuit.
I'm considering RGPC 600S and Chang Lightspeed 605
I don't know much about electrical stuff, I get confused as I learn more...
Which one should I get???
This is part of the description of RGPC 600S
"Power Requirements: 20 Amp IEC Connector/15 Amp Plug"
what does it actually mean? Is the 15 Amp Plug for 15 Amp wall outlet only? What if I have 20 Amp dedicated circuit installed?
Also, This is explanation of option for Chang Lightspeed 605
-'DETACHABLE' Power Cord Option (for CHANG CLS 605)....you can get either a 15A OR 20A male IEC connector (depends on whether your wall outlet is with a 20 amp special wall receptacle - most people don't have 20A outlets -
but you never know), which allows removing the cord from the Chang's; if you want to upgrade the cord ever to a thicker heavier gauge (AWG).
