The UF5 is an inefficient speaker. Having experience with a low sensitivity speaker, even though not as low as the UF5, I would definitely want more power than the NAD 7050.
Elac UniFi UF5 Speakers / NAD 7050?
I'm trying to put together an inexpensive, simple, good sounding system. If I can get the Elac speakers for $650 and the NAD for $450 I'm only in it for $1100. Im wondering if the NAD will power the Elacs or should I go a different route on the amp/dac/pre? W4S Mint? Sony TA-A1es with a Schiit modi? Hegel H70? Other suggestions?
My source will be via toslink and I have all my cables already.
