Effect of two power prongs, not three

Almost every power cord I have seen has a three prong IEC female connector socket ("C13"). My amp (Myryad) has only a two prong male IEC ("C18"). Wikipedia states that the C18 does not have a third pin for earthing and also states that a "C18 inlet will accept a C13 line socket . . . . Any problem with buying a standard cord with a C13 socket? Any problem with lack of a ground?

No problem. If your amp only has a two prong male connection, then it will be double-insulated and will not use the chassis as the common ground; it's been designed that way, so probably best not to start trying to earth it yourself.
