Only if you have long runs that are likely to have interference problems. My EE Dac is a great unit with a beautiful sound. My preamp accepts only RCA inputs so it is not an issue with me. Others will have different opinion. If the distance is short between the EE and the BAT I would try an adapter. Good luck!
Eastern Electric DAC does not have XLR outs??
I am very interested in the Eastern Electric DAC, but noted that it does not have balanced XLR outs. My preamp, a BAT Rex, only uses XLR balanced connections. I know there are nice adapters out there, but am I losing anything by using an adapter? BAT obviously prefers XLR connections. Should I reject the EE DAC for this reason?
