I don't think $175 is to much for a pair of A-25 if they truely are in excellent shape. And while I agree with Ponnie that speakers of today are more open sounding, with tigher bass, better high frequency extension, ect. I certainly feel that you'll have to spend much more money to best the A-25s, especially if you're going to use them in a vintage and/or tube based system.
