I recently picked up an Arcam DV78 for my two channel system and Panasonic hdtv (crt). I believe the DV79 has HDMT connectivity. Thus far I have been pretty happy with the player. Compared to an original Rega Planet, is is much more vivid but can be a bit unfocussed at times. Bass is solid, vocals and midrange are smooth and dynamic, but the upper end can be a tad hard. Overall it does a nice job on audio however.
