Dutch & Dutch 8c speaker stand washers

Some of the washers are missing from one of my 8c speaker stand packages. Does anyone think it would matter if I used a different washer with the same inner diameter but is a thicker "split" washer? I don't see how it would matter but maybe I should wait for the original part. It's just frustrating to have such a large project put on hold for days or weeks over a missing 2 cent washer.
