+2 with Grannyring. I've used 12ga Duelund tinned copper from my MC30's to the external crossovers solderless copper lugs and 12ga to the woofer plus 16ga to the tweeters on the Tannoy MG HPD315's and find the sound quality to be everything Grannyring has described. I also modified the speaker binding posts to eliminate solder joints by using binding posts to only clamp internal wires to those from the crossovers.
I must say I've never understood upgrades to speaker cables and ignoring internal speaker wiring.
