Doug Schroeder Method, Double ic

I think this topic deserves its own thread , where use double ic through y adapters , from source to preamp, Can’t connect it from Preamp to Amp...For me the result is huge, I can’t go back to single ic....

What are some of the biggest improvements some of you folks are experiencing with this method?
Thank you Doug. Gonna need to give it a go eventually! Anyone doing Canare cable in an XLR version?
celander, did he mention if they do an xlr version. I will need to look them up and give them a call.
I purchased a pair of Teo GC's double/double inXLR for my Benchmark Dac/Amps. I am speechless at the level of improvement! Honestly is like i changed the front end, amps or speakers.

Huge improvement bottom to top, piano, horns, violins , drums and voices are way more like live music. The width of stage improvement is next level!

I could keep going but one must try the Teo liquid cables and Dougs method of doubling interconnects.

Thank you to Doug for bringing this to light and thank you to Taras and Ken of Teo audio for the incredible cables and service!
Doug, currently JTR 215RT’s. Going in a different direction so they are up for sale along with my Charney Audio Maesetro horns that i was gonna use in a 2nd system that is not gonna pan out unfortunately.
Just a little update only Teo audio double/double XLR Schroeder set up. First is these cables just keep getting better with run time. I have a Dspeaker X4 and was actually running double conversion as i preferred the sound signature of my Benchmark Dac.

Decided to use the Teo double/double from the X4 right to my Benchmark amps. All i can say is the Dac3 is going up for sale.

The Teo cables and Schroeder method are truly next level. I am still amazed in the difference they make. Like i said before it is truly like a component change and need to be heard to be believed.

Thank you again Doug for posting this and Taras and Ken of Teo audio for designing the best cables i have ever experienced! Saving up for the speaker cables next!
Doug, fun beyond belief! I mean they are just cables right? I was never of the thought that cables could bring a system to this level until this.

How about Teo double/double speaker cables? I believe you might have tried this? LOL
Tuffy, I agree with you. Using Teo Double Double GC Ultra's. No turning back! Would only move up there line.
Was you experience the huge improvement with SM there is no going back ime.

It is like a major equipment change not a cable change. Can easily tell the difference in blind testing too.

One must try it before condemning it. Made a believer out of me.
I went back to using my Charney singldriver, coverless, high sensitivity horns. Did blind A/B against my single high end xlr's versus SM xlr's. Picked them out 5 out of 5 times.

There is no going back to single interconnects.
So i am still loving my teo audio DS method interconnects. So here are some equipment combos i have.

Benchmark DAC3-Benchmark AHB-2’s
Speaker X4- AHB-2’S
Mcintosh D1100- AHB-2’s his combo is outstanding!

So grabbed my cheap workshop/gym amps in place of the AHB-2’s

Crown XLI 800 and a class D Crown XLS1502

SM made the Crown amps totally palpable in my main system! Amazing! Oh and no smoke or burning up of the Crown XLS1502 amp! LOL

Ok so where can i get fairly low cost SM XLR's for the workshop system?

No problem Doug! I figured the Crown XLS1502 was a good class D experiment. As in it was only 300 bucks so if things went wrong no big deal.

The XLI800 has a toroidal in it so wasn't overly concerned. I just like the idea that one could put together a low cost system even incorporating these Crown amps and spend extra bucks on the DSM cables and really elevate it to another level. Of course it does the same with higher end equipment also.

I certainly understand why you use the splitters. I will reach out to Bill and see what a pair of XLR DSM's cost.
