The Link is a excellent collection of information. The DIY Audio Build thread covers very important points, especially for the Valve Selection. Reading through some of this info brought back the kind of thinking I was experiencing when having a Custom Built Valve Phonostage produced for me. Burn In periods and select component changes can move a build into a place that seems beyond achievable. A second Phonostage I own was modded to work with E88CC Valves, the Tube Rolling experiences were very revelatory, and I have recollected the good memories of the Mullard when put up for audition.
