Dolby PLII vs. DTS NEO-6?

What is the difference betwween Dolby PLII and DTS NEO-6? I listen pretty much exclusively to two-channel classical music through a 5.1 system and I'm unclear on what my ears are hearing with these two formats. Any input/explanation will be appreciated.
