Does The Peachtree Audio nova220se Work With A Tube Phono Preamp?

I recently purchased Musical Paradise's MP-P1 tube phonostage and am strongly leaning towards buying the aforementioned integrated amp (or the upcoming nova150).
Yet, I think I've seen a report that the Peachtree doesn't play well with a tube phono preamp.
Has anyone made a similar pairing with their current setups?
