Does the balanced output of the Sony SCD-1 invert

Does the balanced output of the Sony SCD-1 invert absolute polarity? It's interesting because Sony has no clue, but if you read the Stereophile review, they indicate that it does, and suggest that you switch the postive an negative feeds at the speaker. Does anyone have a definitive answer?

Ghostrider45 has the definitive answer. This was corrected in the later version which by the way is denoted with an uppercase 'R' on the front panel just below the lower right corner of the display window.

Eldartford brings up a good point, but if the SCD-1 is your only source, it should be a non-issue.
