Do you adjust your subwoofer

I have kef reference 3 speakers and a rel 510 subwoofer

I keep the crossover low and the volume low as well. It gives just a little extra down low

I was wondering if people bump up the subwoofer when using it for movies, just for the extra thrill

BUT, every now and then there will be a disc with so much low bass I have no choice but to get out of my chair and turn them down. REL should really have built a remote control into their equipment. If you want a perfect example of what I'm talking about, play Herbie Hancock's "Dis Is Da Drum". I don't know what is being used to create the extremely low bass but it gets my subs shaking and hits you in the chest.
