I'm sure I would believe I hear a difference but at least I would know why.
Directionality Explained
I have read it argued against by those who think they know
Here is proof
Paul Speltz Founder of ANTICABLES shares his thoughts about wire directionality. Dear Fellow Audiophiles, As an electronic engineer, I struggled years ago with the idea of wire being directional because it did not fit into any of the electrical models I had learned. It simply did not make sense to me that an alternating music signal should favor a direction in a conductor. One of the great things about our audio hobby is that we are able to hear things well before we can explain them; and just because we can’t explain something, doesn't mean that it is not real.

It made me sit by drawing me into that magical place only Benchmark DACs can do. Anyway as any Reasonable Person would understand they are using the definition of sit as being harmonious with, not literally sit. Maybe cable companies should be sued as any Reasonable Person wouldn’t think changing the direction of a wire is going to open the soundstage and make the noise floor lower and more dark. |
SIT IN THE PERFORMANCE SPACEThere you go , close your eyes and be transported. |
If we're going to use the Reasonable Person test cable companies better round up the wagons. I can't see the average guy in a jury noticing differences in wire direction or silver vs copper. Probably overturned on appeal though where it's judges looking at precedent. There's a lot of leeway in advertising it's why there are so few successful lawsuits. |
Eight Hybrid DACs.WOW , MSB DACs can Bring the artist to my house? How great is that! This is reasonable right? A reasonable person is going to assume this is what MSB means? |
I guess you could say imagination playing tricks, or our biases confirming what we believe. I have a bias that cables that measure similar sound the same. In a sighted test even if the cables have been altered to obviously sound different I would think they sound the same in an unsighted test I might be able to hear differences. It's just the way humans are wired, all of us. |
>>>>Huh? Humans aren’t wired like that at all. First, it clearly shows the need for “blind testing” in fact “double-blind testing”. – No, that doesn’t mean you wear a blindfold – It does mean that you have to detect the differences you’re listening for WITHOUT HINTS FROM OTHER SENSES No, you can’t ignore them.
