The Miles would be my choice over the Sony - the Sony sounding a bit cool and mechanical - the Miles being very dynamic, rich, but a tad hyped up and forward. For similar money the Resolution Audio CD50 would be my pick - more natural and very easy to live with over time and build a top class system around.
