DIGITAL CONVERTER

I AM RECORDING OFF FM TO A CD. DO I NEED OR WILL I BENEFIT WITH A DIGITAL CONVERTER? SOUND QUALITY? SORRY FOR THE BASIC QUESTION. THANKS

it's unlikely, especially given the constraints of FM broadcast. in theory, you could run the FM signal into an AtoD converter that could then be run through a processor to add some shaping (EQ) and whatnot at high rates (eg: a Meridian 518) to net you a better master, but it seems like a lot of expensive work to go through for what will IMO be minimal, if any, improvement of the sound quality. my two pennies fwiw.
You are recording from an anolog source.I presume the dac would be to play back the cd you made.Should be simple . Listen to your tuner on the same station you made the dub from.Get a close feel for the sound. Then listen to a cd you made. Then you will have your own ans.I can't see how the duplicated cd could be made to sound better than the fm broadcast.
