DHT preamps...Supratek Cabernet vs Vinnie Rossi L2 Signature Edition.

Hello fellow aficionados..I hope everybody is doing well.

I am interested in getting opinions on these two pre's.

Both use DHT tubes that are tricky to implement, they both bias the tubes conservatively so longetivity should not an issue.

The Supratek uses point to point wiring, the L2 uses advanced circuit boards/circuits and other techniques to improve S/N performance. On paper/price the L2 it's superior, it's the L2 twice as good?

The pre is to be paired to a PL X250.8 driving my trusty 32 years old NHT 3.3.

Interconnects/speaker cables by Kimber Kable. I'm currently using a LTA MZ3 as the preamplifier.

Please share your opinions, I appreciate the feedback. Thanks

I am the lucky owner of one of the few resurrected Grange pre-amps from Mick (2022): I can't think of a more satisfying and enveloping sound miracle, be it fed by analog or digital. I am using 300B (Takatsugi) tubes at the moment, but will be experimenting with 45 SETs (Sophia Electric) soon.

Mick is a great guy to work with: he made my Grange to my specs and supported me all the way until is was set up properly. Stay well, Mick!
