I think all of the current BD drives are 2.0 capable. The video card seems to have a lot to do with this also. The playback software is a major player here as well.
My unit started off 1.0, after upgrading the video card along with free periodic upgrades from Cyberlink made my Sony drive 2.0 .
The Cyberlink software is quoted here
"CyberLink PowerDVD delivers proven quality of HD movie playback on consumer PCs and has already been certified for significant Blu-ray Disc standards, including BD-Video Profile 1.0, BD-Video Profile 1.1 (Bonus View), BD-Video Profile 2.0 (BD-Live), BD+, BD-RE 3.0, AVCHD, and AVCREC."
That's a neat little unit you're considering. My only concern is upgrade ability. It doesn't leave you much room if any to try the newest sound/video cards that are coming to market. The great thing about using your PC is the software can be continuously upgradeable.
