Both are quite old school. In this price range, your money would be better spend on something like the NAD 541 with HDCD decoder. I had it once and it was quite good for the price.
I owned the Denon 3300 for a short time. Maybe I had a bad one or something but it was a truly awful sounding thing. Cold, hard, thin, unmusical and loaded with digititus. Sounded bad as transport too.
