Denafrips FPGA Firmware Update

In case there are any Denafrips DAC owners out there that are not aware of the FPGA Firmware Update, here's the link:

I did the update on my Ares II earlier today and am currently enjoying the results. It is definitely an improvement without question.

I'm still on the fence regarding the sound change. Seems like there's been a significant boost in treble. I'm getting glitches that sound like a brief skip that didn't happen before the update. It happens when playing a playlist of mixed tracks and consistently at the 10 to 12 second mark. Happens with my WiiM Pro connected by coax as well as my Primare NP5 connected with toslink. Decreasing the volume didn't help.
