She just built a tube preamp for my friend.
He called her, they spoke, hit it off, she said yes, but it will take months, primarily waiting for the transformer she wanted to use to arrive.
He (and I) are quite happy with it’s sound. We heard it here and in his system.
It definitely reveals the differences in the extra tubes she sent, including the rectifier sounding different which I never tried in my tube stuff over the years.
