DecWare 300B amp

Hey folks!

Any fine folk received this “new one” yet?

Better still…can you give it a thumbs up?

I think any good amp sounds best with a great preamp.   My amp has gain for each channel but I think it sounds poor without a preamp.   It's not horrible but it is dramatically better with a really good pre.

The DAC with volume guys are missing out in my experience....

You might want to also look into the Decware Zen TORII MK5, it allows for numerous tube choices and sounds great once broken in with at least 300 - 500 hours on it.

I waited a year for mine and I will be keeping it until I pass, then my son will get it.

I got to hear their 300b amp last October.  It is worth the wait. I also like their SE34i.6 too.

As @brockwired, I heard the Sarah 300b in October as well (perhaps we chatted), and I agree it is worth the wait. All the Decware amplifiers are quite good. The caveat being that you pair them with appropriately sensitive speakers.

Referencing sensitivity, @therandyman you mentioned you are on the list for a ZMA (40 watts/ch) and would consider "upgrading" to the 300b (7 watts/ch). Does that reduction in power work for your circumstance? The ZMA is wonderful in its own right, just different (of course) than the 300b.

@oddiofyl If by "brilliant move" you mean Decware can somehow mojo you from spending about $1200 on a SE84UFO to change your order to an amp that is at least $4200 without tubes? Doesn't make sense, curious what you are trying to say? Have you ever heard a SE84UFO or Sarah 300b to be able to make that suggestion? If you are not on the list, you can't say what you would do. Easy to spend other people's money. 😀

For reference. I do own (among direct digital, SS class ab, tube amplifiers) 2 Decware SE84UFO25 anniversary and Decware TORII Monos. And I am on the list for a Sarah 300b.

Haven't heard either , but a number of people have already changed their order.....they have plenty of time to save .  So it's already happening .   I hope it's great, $6000 all in is a decent amount of money but this is a crazy hobby.
