Reach out to Alex at Uptone about a repair?

Hi,
My LPS1 stopped working. I was using it with the ISO Regen, into my Ayre QB9 Twenty DAC. Even though I was told that the ISO Regen won’t do anything to improve the sound of my Ayre QB9 Twenty, I happen to prefer it with. So I plugged the ISO Regen into a dual rail TeraDak LPS. I do notice a slightly different sound characteristic via headphones. I appreciate having a power button on the TeraDak so that I can work on my files from my streamer without the DAC powered on. But should I be looking for a better LPS? The ISO Regen is so small that I can hold it between my thumb and my middle finger and rated at 6-8 volts DC. Anyway, I realize this isn’t the most engaging thread but any thoughts or advice is appreciated as always.

@sbank I did leave a voice mail and sent a message via their website.If they can do a repair, I'm wondering what the warranty would be. Currently I'm not using the unit at all. |
@sbank Thanks, I've seen his activity on there before but totally forgot about it. I appreciate your help. So. my thought is that I might decide to eventually get a higher end LPS but will just run my DAC without the ISO Regen till then. My DAC doesn't sound bad without it, just different. |
@goofyfoot pretty happy with my Uptone JS-2, which can power 2 devices. It's a good time to look for one used if you like to buy used gear, because their introduction of the JS-4 just shipping now, has led to a number of upgraders who might be looking to sell their JS-2s. There's a thread on that introduction that is getting updates regularly. Cheers, Spencer |
@sbank I got an email from Alex telling me about the JS4 and explaining why they're unable to repair the LPS1. I'll look around for a preowned LS2 to see what I can find. |
