You could try the Schiit BiFrost. I've heard really good things about this DAC. I haven't heard one, but the reviews are good. It sells for $349.
DAC use for "high resolution" computer sources-MOG
Folks,
These days I actually listen mostly to my premium MOG service because I basically have an unlimited music collection. I still buy CD's for stuff I really like but mostly listen to MOG (have premium service at 320 bitrate).
I'm building a Den system with a Naim Nait 5i and Totem Arros, with a compressed digital source like MOG what would people recommend in terms of a DAC? Is there much gain to be expected/any DAC someone would recommend for this? I am curious at what investment level things cap out given the 320 bitrate limitation. I was considering cheaper stuff like the Musical Fidelity V-DAC.
Let me know your opinions.
