DAC RFI, creates noise for tuner

The only solution is to keep all of the digital equipment turned off when listening to the tuner. I have the same problem because of all my digital equipment. In my system I have 3 DAT's, 2 minidisc decks, DVD player, and cd player. If I have more than a couple turned on the reception is greatly reduced. If you look in most of the owners manuals you'll notice that they all pretty much say something similar to the following: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC rules. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy, and if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Translation, this equipment spews out RF garbage that interferes with reception.

I have had similiar problems and unfortunately the only solutions are to either turn off the equipment or trade it in for something does not spray around RFI. There are some decent dacs, cd players and transports that do not emit a lot of RFI. Using filters and shields did nothing for me but waste my time and money. This is one of the reasons I will not buy any digital device without a right of return.
