Dac for near field

Well, I made the “mistake” of calling my favorite dealer...
Aurender A100 is on the way at about 3x my original budget...
actually I’m excited. I have an Aurender N10 in my main system and it’s pretty awesome.

you are correct, if you can use wifi or wired ethernet to connect to the streamer it would preserve sound quality much better than wifi, then it would make sense to buy a $1000 dac to get superior sound quality

Ok. I’m a bit technologically challenged I guess. Sounds like Bluetooth is a limiting factor here.
In my main system I use an aurender  n10 to stream Tidal. Maybe I need to consider one of the smaller aurender units to get the data via WiFi.

but if you are using bluetooth just buy a cheap dac, the sound will be compromised

Actually, come to think of it, I have a chord Hugo. Maybe I use that and just feed it w a digital out from an apply TV. This isn’t a main system by any means. Just something clean and easy for while I’m working.

A cheap Topping will outperform compressed BlueTooth
