D & B Audiotechnik Sound Systems

Recently, the state provided a grant for new seats and sound system for the main auditorium.
We went to a play/musical the other day called Hairspray.
The new sound system had been installed from a company called D&B Audiotechnik.
D&B is a German company. The old sound system was a JBL setup.
Above the stage opening are 6 good sized box speakers, equally spaced, mounted to the wall. On either side of the stage opening are mounted subwoofers. After the show I spoke with the sound man running things. The entire system is computer controlled. I was blown away by the sound quality. It was the finest I’ve ever heard in any auditorium! D&B states that the amps and speakers are designed as a system. I have no idea what the total system cost was. Nether did the sound man running things.
If you are in the sound business, or work for a large municipality, you may want to check this audio company out! Highly recommended!
