Considering An Upgrade From A Musical Fidelity NuVista M3
Been using this NuVista for awhile now, and got a few benjis in the audio kitty that are slated for an amplification upgrade.
Working on developing a short list of components that would be worthwhile contenders to replacing the Musical Fidelity amp.
Speakers are a pair of JBL 4365.
I also happen to have a First Watt F7 here I can use, but need a pre amp for it. I have a DIY First Watt B1 board that I don't much care for. I used the pre amp section of the NuVista to trial it, and the results were promising. I have to admit that the power of the MF is fun on those days I get to turn it up to club levels, and the F7 is a bit wanting in that regards. But it seems to be a bit more fleshed out, not as cool sounding, and perhaps a bit more dynamically expressive.
