Conrad Johnson MET1

The MET1 is a 6-channel tube preamp

I only use two channels. Does anyone know for sure if I can use it on two channels after removing the tubes on the unused channels without damaging the unit?

Next issue:  there is considerable cross talk between channels.  If I'm inputing on the CD channel I can hear faint carryover on the other channels that I turn the selected switch to.  Conrad Johnson said this is normal.  Has anyone else experienced this issue or can say it's a  non issue with their CJ tube preamp?
