Conrad Johnson--does anyone use this brand anymore?

Does anyone have any opinions re Conrad Johnson Phono Pre amps?
Versus other brands?

I currently have TEASE2---but need step up transformer for cartridge.

Thoughts---?

Very nice system in Virtual Systems. Thank You for pitching RHB Dezigns.

Good to read that Bob can mod/repair CJ gear, especially, since Bill Thalmann has retired. I am excited to see (hear) the newest version of CAV45 next Spring.

arcticdeth-

have you ever used CJ and McCormack gear in the same system?
The Pioneer Elite DV-79 AVi is a very good cd/sacd player.

Happy Listening!

The MF 2250A is still a very good amp, although a little older.
Second, Evolution 2000 was a cool project (hybrid) as well. Grab one if it comes across your radar.

I agree- johnlnyc

Conrad Johnson does remain a class act. The GAT pre-amp models are state of the art according to their owners. Happy Listening!
Right On! ebm.
CJ gear not only sounds excellent, but it is priced right in comparison to other brands and quality of products.

I liked the MF series of amps as well. Sonographe was a pretty good series too. I have not had an opportunity to audition the newest solid-state offerings from CJ. it is a good thing for the company's return to ss power amps, IMO.

Thank You- linnlingo.
I have been wanting to demo the Tellurium Q cabling. You own a nice system.

Happy Listening!
No doubt that Pass Labs is the best solid-state gear at this juncture.
Also, CJ pre-amp(s) are sonic matches for both brands. Happy Listening!
The gear has to be matched expertly- hifiman5

Once accomplished, the pay-off is there in spades. Happy Listening!

the ET-3SE is a very fine pre-amp and mates well w/ other tubed or solid-state gear.  Which other gear, including cabling, is in your system?

Happy Listening!
Very nice gear- coppy777

I am fond of the Premier 350sa power amp. I know it gives hours of listening pleasure. Did you buy it new?

Happy Listening!
Thanks! for sharing- coppy777

I have only heard the ACT2 Series2 and ET-3SE pre-amps from CJ.
The ET5 is next on my list to demo. Happy Listening!
