Not sure how many folks will have spent time with both. I would think that based on what I have heard about the Berning, it could use some of the fleshing out and tonal richness of the Joule 150 MKII (the MKI would proabably not be ideal). While I now use an Atma pre with my Atma amps, I think the Berning and Atma amps have somewhat similar sound signatures and the Joule certainly worked very well with the Atma.
