Concerto for Voice and Piano

Sometime ago I was listening to a late night vinyl radio program and heard a concerto for voice and piano.  I did not catch the name of the composer or performer, but it was by a late 1800's French composer.  The female artist did not sing and simply made music with her voice to accompany the piano.  Does any one know of any songs that fit this description? Alternatively do you how to search for this?  (google has not been helpful).

I don't know if this one is it or not but have you heard of Rachmaninov's Vocalise as I think this one could be what you are looking for  . And before anyone chimes in , yes I did know he was Russian and not French.
Thank you Jim.  That was the concerto.  No wonder I couldn't find it on Google.  There are some very interesting arrangements.
