I do not believe that Sony built another RBCD player like the XA-7ES from the year 2000 to now. Easily, this model was the company's crowning achievement as the 90's came to a close.

I wonder if anybody has compared these two CD Players. I find no references on the web and would like to know if its worth upgrading to the newer model. I have read that physically its like comapring a VW Beatle to a Rolls Royce but the internals and SACD probably justify. However, considering the low volume of SACD's I question the move.
