Comming to DVD;

The Last Waltz is coming in mid May.I saw the film in 1978 at one of the great theaters in Hollywood--Pantages/Chinese.After watching; I bought the vinyl the next day.--It put the reality of how bad my equipment was at the time--in my face.I mean they did play it loud! Some great performances--an "allstar" cast.I would expect it'll be great audio to say the least.I might expect future polls for favorite dvd concert to include this. --I mean,they had plenty of time to get it right.

I also buy few movies but enjoy concert dvd's

the best
steely dan - two against nature
u2 - elevation
joni mitchell - shadows and light (with Jaco and Methany)
ricki lee jones - live at the beacon
james taylor
the classic album discs (U2, Steely, EJ, Fleetwood)
I have about 30 music discs so I probably forgot something nice

awaiting a peter gabriel or liz phair dvd release!
I have bought only a few DVD's, as I can't see the point of watching even the best films more that a couple of times. But I do have a few concert DVD's, and this is clearly the highest use of a DVD player.

Any votes for best concert DVD?

Stop Making Sense is a great one. Tom Petty's High Grass Dogs is also a fun show. The IMAX film of the Stones' Steel Wheels rounds out my top 3.
that's cool, george. the band's farewell concert made one of the best duble albums ever. my sons, too, loved to play it when they were just kids. -kelly
