Hi Jcidulka. I have the super eclipse in a 14x21x8 room. I would not want to go smaller. They need to be away from side wall at least 3ft. You want the speakers to be 6ft apart or more. Might be too much bass for your room. I have them 7ft out in the room for best soundstaging. The super eclipse needs room to show off there stuff. I would try a smaller speaker.
