CODA 8 V1

Just bought a used Coda 8 V1   Wow am I impressed. Could someone answer a question that the instructions don't address, or I missed it.  It has to do with the meter lights. I'm sure it has to do with the sensitivity of the meters. They give you an option of pressing the button ( on each side)  to give you a green light or an orange light,  flanking it on either side is a bright blue light that indicates the unit is operating correctly.  Could someone just clarify what the pressing of the button does, whether choosing green or orange? thanks so much!!! What a great amp!!!!!! Robert Tn

Very impressive. I had almost gone the S5.5 route, so close. The dealer suggested because of my loud Rock and Roll and CURRENT hungry speakers, the 8 V1   I'm lucky, Even at 90 db, I'm still in class A  Enjoy! I will always wonder what the 5.5 would have sounded like. After hearing my new 8,  with Zeppelin, The Who, Queen, Lynard Skynard, etc. Very pleased  Robert

Doug Dale took my old Coda on trade against a new one.  Of the models that they offer, he recommended the No 8 V1 for my Von Schweikert speakers.  I went with his recommendation. I wasn't looking at their amps costing a lot more.

@sls883   I have always read  GREAT things about Von Schweikert speakers, Regardless of models. I'll bet you have a winning combination there, bet it sounds fabulous.

@robshaw I like them.  They're probably my last pair of speakers unless they crap out before I do, or I win the lottery (not likely since I don't buy lottery tickets).

I have read that Coda gear sounds “dry”. I’ve not heard any but I would like to somehow. Of everything I have read it all sounds like the sound I am looking for  except for the “dry” part.

anyone agree about them being dry? Why anyone would think this?
