Just buy a used European model and pay less for item itself and import and customs. Then use a step up transformer to use it. For warranty, that’s  another question, but at least you have the item. These things show up all the time on German used audio sites. 

I thought about that, but really would prefer a new one with warranty and not having to use a step up.
