The Clearaudio website claims that a wooden chassis offers better resonance control. I would suspect that a wooden chassis will also offer a fuller and deeper tone than the metal.
Clearaudio DC Performance vs DC Performance Wood
Looking at getting a new TT. Clearaudio has two performance DC TT's w/the same internals and specs. The Wood is $1100 more. I'm aware that the Birch wood costs more. How much of a difference does it make SQ wise. Probably will get the Satisfy Arm and use my Dynavector 20XL 2 off my Linn.
