Clearaudio cartridge alignment GAUGE help

hi, i have a clearaudio Precise alignment gauge :

i have a sme 309 tonerarm, Pivot to spindle = 215.35mm , i want to use this product for use the sme, but the clearaudio have two posibility, IEC_standard and clearaudio-recomendation, which is the better?, can i use this product and calibrate whith precision my sme 309?
