Clear Day silver jumpers or equivalent

Appreciate the responses, extremely helpful. Actually for a short time I had a set of the jumpers that Paul sent me. Ridiculously low price of $50 or so. I had recently upgraded from the middle of the reference line Onkyo A-9070 amp to their top of the line M-5000R. I also purchased the P-3000R preamp when I upgraded. Had all Clear Day cables including interconnects at that point, double shotguns for the speakers. Was happy as can be and thought my journey to audio bliss was complete for a while. I even boxed up my A-9070 amp to sell it on Audiogon. Then I started to think about how the Onkyo preamp allows bi-amping the speakers. Rather than sell that amp for $600 or so I decided to hook it up that way and found a noticeable upgrade and sound quality. So I ordered another set of double shotguns and didn't need the jumpers anymore. I think Paul on the phone said if you don't need the jumpers you could put them towards the new speaker cables and then he would have them if another customer wanted them. So I sent them back to him. Truth is I don't really need them right now but would like to have a set in case I ever upgrade my amp and preamp and don't bi-amp anymore. With what you have told me I think I could make a set if I needed them. I would probably wait until that time comes now that I know the formula. One thing Paul also mentioned to me is he polished the silver wires before assembling the cables. Hopefully some of you were blessed enough to meet Paul or speak to him on the phone. Just had to make sure you allowed enough time. Usually we'd talk about his products for 10 minutes or so and then we'd talk an hour or two about how our lives journeys have taken us to where we have been, where we were, and where we were going. I'm certain Paul would very much approve of those very kind words. Although being such a humble guy he might respond with an "Aw shucks, I'm just a regular guy like everyone else doing the best I can."  With all of the information you were able to give me on Clear Day speaker cables and jumpers, I thought perhaps you could enlighten me in a similar way on Paul's interconnects. I have several pair of his single ended I love them. I have recently bought into some balanced equipment so I could use some balanced XLR interconnects. Finding pre-owned I do believe would be near impossible. I would be willing to try and make a set of my own if you happen to know the parts I would need. For that matter even the formula for RCA interconnects would be welcome if I should ever require more sets of them. Again for your help

Thanks again for the help. By all means don't do anything that would damage your interconnects just for reverse engineering purposes. Like I said I have some of his RCA interconnects and if someone were going to cut anything open it should be me. I am interested in trying to make some balanced interconnects and you've given me the information I need to give it a shot. I just purchased a pre-owned Topping D90 DAC on audiogon which has XLR outputs. When I upgrade my preamp to a balanced one I will need the new interconnects. When that time comes I'll let you know how my project goes. Thanks and take care

nonoise, we both agree it seems that when people say bi-wiring doesn't make a difference they either have equipment or ears that are not up to the task of noticing that difference.
fiesta75, agree on the benefits of silver. When people say silver causes harshness or sibilance I think they also don't have equipment up to the task. And when some even say that silver brings out too much detail in the music, I say WHAT? Too much detail? That's why I spent all of this money, to get all of the details out of the music. I have noticed that as my equipment gets better as I upgrade, high notes like violins and such that used to hurt my ears don't seem to anymore. Guess it's all about components that work well with each other

Thanks tweak1, actually things have changed a little since my original post. I'm not sure I will really have a need for jumpers. Because I used to bi-amp my speakers I purchased two sets of speaker cables from Paul. Now that I only run a single amplifier I had an extra set of cables that I wouldn't need. So I decided I would run one set to the lower terminals and one set to the upper terminals of my speakers so at this time no need for jumpers. Some might think it's in my head but I have always found when listening that whichever terminals got the direct connection to the amplifier would take priority over the terminals that received current through the jumpers.
