Class A power amp will give the best BASS SLAM?

I've been trying out various amps, looking for smooth highs obviously, but what power amp will give the best, tightest, bass slam? Let's try to keep the used price below $2000. Your input is appreciated!!!

Look for Threshold SA/4e stereo. Pure Class A power amp.
Don't let the 100W fool you. This amp will drive anything.
Spend a few more buck . Should be in the $2600-3K range.
