How about Thiel Power Points? I laughed the first time I saw them (literally), but I stopped laughing when they played. They make very good L/C/R speakers.
For surrounds, you could use more PoewrPoints, or Triad makes good flush-mounts. This might not work spectacularly well for surround music, if you care, but it worked very well in my previous HT setup. (in a different house.)
