One of my friend CD player did the same thing and then the power transformer was gone .
CD player making strange noises
When I turned my stereo on today and put a disc into my cd player, I could hear the disc spin through my speakers. Then when I hit play, I kept hearing small pops and cracks come through my speakers. Any thoughts on what's going on? Everything else in my system works fine.
