I did exactly what you are thinking of doing. The only difference is I had an 860x. A big mistake, the Wadia has it all over the Cary sonically. At the time I wanted to use the difference in a totally different arena. Now I wish I had done it a different way. The Wadia is truly in a class of its own.
If your question had been, should I buy a Wadia or a Cary new, than I might answer in a different way, but since you have the Wadia, you really need to keep it. Don't get me wrong, the Cary is a really good player when price is a consideration, especially when a Wadia costs almost twice as much. Anyway, that is just my 2 cents...............Bob
