Hi , the same thing happened to a 303/200 I purchased here on agon. The seller had me ship the unit to cary who I think charged him $100 or $150 to repair..think it was just a cleaning. Thanks to a very kind and decent seller he refunded my money. Hope this is all it is.
Cary 303-200 CDP--disc tray doesn't load--advice?
I have a 2 y.o. Cary 303-200 CDP. Suddenly, I can eject discs, but can't load them. When I press the Open/Close button, it opens fine, but when it closes, either with a CD, or empty, it goes about 3/4 of the way in, but then backs out again. The only way I can get the disc tray to retract fully is then to turn the power off.
What am I looking at here, in terms of potential repairs? (Obviously, I need to call Cary tomorrow). New transport? Or? TIA for any advice!
