Carver PM900 power amp any good?

I am currently using a Bel Canto S300 (150w per channel) to drive the bass units on modified Martin Logan Vantage speakers. The speakers were modified for biamping. I have been told that an amp, like the Carver, with a lot more power will improve and tighten the bass performance and all it needs is raw power not an amp with a lot of finesse. Will the Carver do the job or any other suggestions using second hand and for a low price. No use suggesting Audio Research or Krell. For info I am using a Rogue Audio Stereo 90 with KT90 tubes to drive the electrostatic panels.

There are a few Carver models that would do the job. Like you stated, just need raw power to drive the bass. Amps of that age may need to have caps replaced, but some can be found already serviced.
Here's a tip, dont buy any Carver that was used in pro audio.

Would there be any impedance issue?
